As much as I'd love to work today I don't think I can handle standing at a sandwich bar serving people for seven hours. Didn't sleep until 12.30 or so, woke up at 5.30, and feeling physically ill as a result of stress and low iron. Expect I'll be surviving on juice for a sugar boost today.

Am going to have to actively job search when I get home. Pity the garden cashier job was so far away. I think I'd have liked that job; cashiering I can handle at this point, and plants I like, it'd have been good to learn more about them that way.

*eyes phone* ... the alarm was supposed to go off ten minutes ago.

Right. I'm up I'm up. To the train with the Wicked ost and a sketchbook.

Why hello thar, aenesthetist of the lovely face and arms, aren't you snarky.

Being in the surgery room for the first time was a surreal experience. Laying there on my side in all white, needle in my vein, with big lights overhead, and voices discussing basic details like birth date and such gave me the sense that I was something between a sedated animal at the vet and one of many bodies passing through. My last thought was about a heavy heartbeat and then my arm was being shaken by a man telling me that I was done.

It was cool. Sadly the unseelie didn't visit.

Today seemed pretty eventful for an uneventful day.

In dot-point form because I need to get to bed:
- Petshop of Horrors 1-10 arrived. :DDDD
- Finished Dragon Keeper. RAPSKAL IS AWESOME AMOUNTS OF LOVE. Hobb finished it just as I got into it. *sobs*
- Was shanghaid into handwriting my brother's wedding invitations. Thankfully there are only eight. |D Began designing the letters.

And uh, actually, that was it. >>

Tomorrow I have a gastroscopy which I've been pretty annoyed by but sister-in-law-to-be just messaged to let me know that the first time she was under anaesthetic she saw unseelie. :DDDDDD So Sanga I am expecting you! You too Xolotl! And Aundin, actually.

And now I must go to bed because I need to rise at 6am and ahahaha. Oh dear.

I should write a proper entry about today because... because I sat in the dining room of normal people and spoke to them. >> Too tired, so dot points.

Woke up late. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Packed Rick's belongings to move them to his new house.
Visited Gen's home. Met her parents and brother. Given lovely gifts (including cake.) Was told I look like an eighteen year old. Had a dog lick my hand.
Took a ride in a truck on the freeway to get to the new house. Truck music, CHECK!
Gleed over brothers home. (VALLEYS VALLEYS!)
Unpacked Rick's belongings.
D:'d over having my own bedroom in Rick's house of the valleys.
Truck ride back to the rental place. Walked to the supermarket in the freezing cold. Wore gift over head (scarf) to block wind. Too thin, didn't work. Got a lift.
Home. Terrible singing. Food. Gorgeous Chaz & Ash piktur from Rave. :3
Now tired.

Oh. Also. Rick's neighbour has a three storey house. I kid you not. The other neighbour has barbed wire around his fence. Lawl.

Started the day determined to do Dave-McKean-epic amounts of work on Xolonaich, meaning finish, so that I wouldn't lose my book -- only I kept getting distracted. So then I made a deal with Rave that I had one week to save my book by finishing a project which she specified: a finished 'Hiru in a tree' drawing... or was that painting. >>

Then in an attempt to buckle down and get working I became more distracted and commissioned a full body Xolotl and Nouf bust from Chira. :DDDDDDDDDDD

And because I work on other things while avoiding what I should be working on I drew some stuff.

And now I'm on a bit of a high because OMG Chira commission. SOMEONE STOP ME FROM COMMISSIONING A DAMN ~~BUST~~ HEAD SHOT* TOO. ASFKJLHSKFJH.

Right. Might as well get on the bike if I'm going to sit here grinning at the screen and doin' nothin'.

*As Rave just reminded me: ...if you did that, you'd have to design his tatts properly. :)

[edit] AND HOW COULD I FORGET. Totally had my ass saved by Rave before I read the Petshop SEQUEL by mistake. Guys, guys, the first series isn't in print anymore. T_T

mrnnnghgghrmn what was I thinking when I set the alarm for seven thirty? The past hour has been spent trying to wake up properly. Am sitting up but I haven't managed to lose the doona yet. It's foggy out there which means it's cold with tiny water droplets suspended in the air which means blanket. No wait, I am stronger than this! *loses the blanket* Ahahaha oh chill, okay, yeah, I can get used to you.

I have places to be today and it would be really good if I got exercise and housework out of the way now, which was the purpose of rising early.

Akh. It feels like my life has been on repeat for the past year and it has been an awful, boring, nightmare. I just, I'm getting sick of myself, and I think my friends and family (who have been amazingly loving and tolerant) are getting sick of me, and I'm going to break the pattern completely after this week. No more I tell you! There should probably be a ceremony to acknowledge the return to a normal life in the form of vibrant red hair. And now that I've blogged it I've cornered myself into having to do it. D;

Uhhhh... yeah. Bed is probably a good idea.

And then you realise you've neglected your life so much you've nothing left but a pair of jeans and a t-shirt.

Shopping is possibly the most painful experience ever. I see lots of clothes that I like but very few I can actually wear. And when I do find something I can wear they never have the right size. So most of my time is spent sighing sadly at the clothes I have to leave behind and at the store I have to enter to repeat the process all over again.

People are absurd. I wanted to try on a pair of jeans at Satch and the lady tried to get me to change into another shirt and shoes. I told her that I was fine, I was only after the jeans, thanks. As I left I heard her whispering to her co-worker about me refusing the top and shoes. When did it become the standard to try on clothes you do not want?

Gems make up for it. Myer are displaying The Wizard of Oz Ruby Slipper Collection in their windows. THEY ARE GORGEOUS. I'm not a shoe gal and I fell in love. There were men standing around admiring them, and I think they felt much the same as I did in not wanting to part with the shoes.

But where are the books?
